River City Skippers Name Morgan Miller Head Coach for Upcoming Season

Elizabeth City, NC – The River City Skippers are proud to announce Morgan Miller as the teams’s head coach for the upcoming season. Miller brings a strong playing background and a growing coaching résumé to the Skippers as he steps into his first head coaching role.

Miller was a four-year starter at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise (UVA Wise), where he competed at the NCAA Division II level. His consistency and leadership on the field over four seasons laid the foundation for his transition into coaching.

In addition to his collegiate career, Miller is a former ONSL player, giving him firsthand experience with the competitive environment the Skippers face. Now in his second year of coaching, Miller takes the reins as head coach for the first time, ready to apply what he has learned as both a player and an assistant to lead the Skippers into the season ahead.

“Excited for the opportunity to join the River City Skippers and looking forward to what we can accomplish this season!” said Miller.

Miller will begin preparations with the team immediately as the Skippers gear up for the 2027 season. Fans can follow the team for updates on the schedule, roster announcements, and upcoming events.
